Even though every graduating class is expected to have a final send-off bash before commencement, “Seniors’ Day” never grows stale. For one day during their final semester, for a brief moment in between classes, members of the graduating class bring the community together to join them celebrate their last few days as Ashesi students.

In the past couple of years, “Seniors’ Day” has become a tradition everyone looks forward to on campus. This year was no different, as members of the senior class made merry and congratulated each other for the journey thus far.

“We’ve been through a lot, from first year Pre-Calculus class up until now. I’m really excited about this and and what the future holds for us” – Esinam Aphia Hodey ‘16

“Watching us dance, seeing the whole school look on was a bittersweet moment. Nevertheless, I’m excited to be leaving soon, but I’m going to miss all the fun times in Ashesi.” – Ralph Quaye ‘16

“It’s both exciting and sad seeing them as they go, especially for the fact that this batch is the first I worked with, in Ashesi.” – Penelope Brooke Thompson, Department of Business Administration.

“Last year, it was great to see the senior class do this. So it was really nice to have lived this day myself, even though it was a short ceremony.” – Edwina Baddoo ‘16.

“I imagined that it would be a fun day, but after seeing the cake, I became quite emotional, as it hit that graduation is in just a few months, after which I might not see most of my classmates again.“ – Rahila Sule ‘16.

Ashesi’s twelfth commencement ceremony, for the class of 2016, will be on the 25th of June, 2016.
