A cross section of staff and students from Wheaton College, Massachusetts (different from Wheaton College in Illinois), visited Ashesi’s campus as part of their annual entrepreneurship trip to Africa. The delegation led by Wheaton’s President, Dennis Hanno had a chance to experience Ashesi first hand.

“The visit was to give students from Wheaton an opportunity to see Ashesi and interact with our students, faculty and staff,” said Rosemary Kotei, International Programs Officer at Ashesi. “This also goes a long way to strengthen the Ashesi-Wheaton partnership.”

The visit was rounded up with a talk from Dr. Patrick Awuah about Ashesi’s history, mission, vision and future. This was followed by a session where Ashesi students and alumni shared their experiences and stories about campus life.

The Wheaton-Ashesi partnership gives students from both institutions an opportunity to participate in a semester-long exchange program. For the 2015 – 2016 Spring semester, third year Business Administration student, Aba Wilmot ’17 will be studying at Wheaton.
