A letter from Joanna Bargeron, Ashesi Foundation’s Vice President
Dear Friends, a few weeks ago, I was on campus working with colleagues to prepare for our annual Deep Dive event in Ghana. During a conversation with two student volunteers, I asked them about their favorite class. For some thirty minutes, they described the numerous classes and faculty members that were exceptional. They told stories of faculty who were especially good at helping them understand difficult concepts or who took the extra time to learn about them as individuals, and to help with their projects and questions.
It was such a moment of awe for me to see through the students’ eyes this incredible team of educators at Ashesi, and the meaningful learning experiences the University is enabling for the young students who we serve.
As I enter my seventeenth year with Ashesi Foundation, I am grateful for the community of friends and advocates–like you–who have helped create this learning ecosystem at Ashesi University. From donations to volunteerism, your generosity supports our work, strategic goals, and ultimately, the education of the students who we believe will help transform Africa.
As one of our valued community members, please join me in celebrating the teaching and learning achievements outlined in the 2023 Annual Report.
Thank you for your continued support.
