USAID grant to boost engineering at Ashesi

Ashesi has received a $700,000 grant from USAID American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA) to provide engineering equipment for our new engineering classrooms and laboratories.

In gaining this state-of-the-art equipment and technology, Ashesi students will be exposed to a rich engineering education on par with top universities in the US, empowering them to compete on a global level. Our engineering majors – Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Engineering – with a focus on design, entrepreneurship and problem solving, aim to empower students to drive the important innovations that Africa needs.

On behalf of the entire Ashesi community, thank you USAID ASHA for helping Ashesi students to engineer a better Africa.

"For me, an investment in Ashesi is an investment in creating real change. It’s the difference between investing in one organization or investing in an incubator that will generate thousands of people who will go on to change the world."
